Attire, hair and make-up

The Girls

The girls will be wearing this purple flowered strapless sundress that I found on sale. It looks fabulous on all of them. They will be wearing deep gold sparkly flip flops on their feet!

The Boys

Will be wearing tan linen pants with a white short sleeved button down shirt (basically the standard for destination weddings. Mike can't decide if he wants the same, or will go with a tan suit.

Hair and Make-Up

I think I want my hair up, but a bit messy with a flower clip in my hair.

For make up I think I want lots of pinks and peaches. I want to look sunkissed but a bit smokey and sexy. A bit of a smokey eye is good :)

Had to have it!

I ordered this dress to wear at our rehearsal dinner, and possibly our at home reception (if I choose not to wear my gown). It's actually a bridesmaid dress - but I'm in love with it. I got it in a sassy pink colour that will look smashing with a tan :)

The Bride

This is the dress that almost made it. It was very close between this and the one I chose. I like that this one was classic and elegant. I would have gotten it in white (I think this is Ivory)

Jewellery

FIrst off, I found this gorgeous bracelet at a night market in Victoria BC while Mike and I were there on vacation. I walked away from it because MIke said it was too expensive and the wedding and blah blah blah, and then once we got home I spent three days trying to find the jeweler. It took many e-mails, but I found the bracelet.
It is sterling silver, hammered and made by hand with freshwater pearls and gorgeous blue stones.

My mom had an aquamarine (my birthstone) from my grandmother that she had always wanted to pass down to me when I got married, so the same jeweler set it (from the ring it was in) to a pendant which she attached to the bracelet.

Then I had an etsy seller make a charm I had seen on her site and loved to attach to the bracelet. It has our monogram and wedding date stamped into it. She put it on a little clasp so I could attach or unattack it, or I can wear it on a chain around my neck. Etsy seller: sTuck in the Coop

Earrings

I got these earrings at a high-end craft fair (Portabello West for any Vancouverites) They are sterling silver and have a freshwater pearl at the end. I love love love them.

The Shoes!

I left shoes a little too late (they're all fall shoes now :(, and couldn't find the ones I had fallen in love with. I like these ones and think they're cute and sassy.. I also got them very much on sale. That means I can find new shoes to go with my new dress above :)
*update - these shoes were too high to wear with the dress.... so sad. Back on the hunt for some pretty flip flops.

THE DRESS

This is the dress I fell in love with. It's J'ai Private label and I'm so so in love with it. I also got a veil that almost touches the floor, and I'll make a hair barrett with flowers like on the pickups of the gown. The veil will only be on for the ceremony.
